alright, I'm a rookie code reader. I got 3 very, very quick blinks, then I counted 83 blinks. I counted multiple times, so I'm pretty dang sure I got the count right. Anyone want to throw some advice my way?
Thanks fellas
Ryan

yeah, I looked on the website and they're just telling me the same things that xltlariat87 posted to me. I hope I can maybe get some locations of the parts, what they do, and symptoms... any ideas?
I'm not sure. Maybe you could help me decide. I did the method when you turn the truck off, ground the system checker thing(the one with the gray plug) and turned the ignition to on. I'm gonna guess at it being a memory code, but I'd like help deciding.
Thanks guys
That will give you KOEO codes first, then it will give you CM (memory) codes.
When you turn the key, you should see some very quick flashes; ignore them. Then it will blink your KOEO codes, then it repeats them. After repeating them, there is a longer pause. You then see one single flash. This means it's going into CM codes. It gives you the codes, then repeats them.
your truck will be 3 digit codes if you are just getting 3 equally spaced flashes then a pause then 3 equally spaced flashes over and over then all is well. if not then try to figure the codes as 3 digits.
are you saying there were 83 blinks in a row? that shouldnt be right. It gives you the codes one digit at a time divided but a pause. 2 seconds i believe.
I have no idea how to read these codes. All I'm saying is that I am getting 83 blinks... so, what you're saying is that, for example, if the code is 345, then it will blink 3 times, pause, then 4 times, pause, then 5 times?
Thanks for your all's patience.
Ryan
edit: okay, so I did my reading and now know how to read the codes. If I have a 1994 pickup, will I be looking at 2 digit codes or 3 digit codes? I'm just curious what I'll be looking at when I get out of school and in my driveway. Thanks guys.

173 - Hego Sensor circuit indicates system rich (right side)
452 - Computer detected an error in the VSS or PSOM signal during the last 80 warm-up cycles
628 - Converter clutch lock-up error (E4OD)
goodness... help? what's a Hego sensor? what's a VSS or PSOM signal? I've noticed my tranny has been sliding out of gear a little. converter clutch lock up error?
If someone could help me get from code jargon to english, I'd bless you. Thanks everyone for responding.
HEGO Heated Exausht Gas Oxygen Sensor. Not exactly sure what causes that but the VSS is Vehicle Speed Sensor low and the converter clutch lock up error may be from the vehicle speed sensor dropping out and the computer unlocks the converter for a moment and then the VSS comes back on and the com-puter probally would look at this as an error. That is as much as I know at the moment Someone else had the 173 error and will try too look that up Good Luck
Edit: After looking the 173 up The Ford manual says look at the PCV valve but I would probally start at replacing the oxygen sensor. The 452 says to look at the PSOM (programmable speedometer / odometer module) but first I would look at the wiring harness from the trans. Up by the cross memner I have seen some of the wires smashed and that could be it. Or the connectors on the trans. There is a small metal shield on the trans above the pan and that protects the connectors pull the connectors off and see if they are dirty. I still think the lock up error is a code caused by the 452. Good luck again

94's only have one O2 sensor, can we really get an 'Rich-right side' code?
I wouldn't think an O2 sensor would have that quick a reponse time.
Always learning,
