I'm looking for a tonneau cover that covers the bed rails so that they are flush with the outsides? I found an extang one but it only covers like half of the top of the bed rail and it looks kind of wierd. Who makes one that is a exact fit? Any help please?Oh yeah, I have a 04 short bed PSD F250 Superduty.
Mine is a Sportsmaster and its a perfect fit, tapered sides and all. The 3/4 of an inch of the sides of the rail caps show but that's it. Very well made in my opinion. I am sorry but I do not remember how much, $200.
I have a retrax on mine, it covers about 1/2 of the bed rails also. I enjoy because it sits flat and looks sleek. The other benefit is it slides open and locks in any position, so you can open it just the amount you need.
ARE makes a nice fiberglass tonneau painted to match. I've priced them in about 3 states and have found them as high as $1400 (Ford dealer) and as low as $750.
I haven't purchased yet for my 250 SD crew short bed. I would really like a roll up or fold up, but they only come in black and they leak and don't cover the plastic bed rails like the ARE.
I went with the undercover brand ,hard cover , fits excellent, looks great, now for the down side, you cant haul anything with the truck without removing it, $600.00 price tag! It not the best for someone that hauls alot,it is easy to remove, but it takes two people. Craig.
