Looking at the pictures in your gallery, I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Need some more info about it though, such as trim level, factory options, and maybe added equipment.
What leads you to believe that it may be a limited edition? The simple fact that there were only 19,000 of them produced in '69 is something special in itself.
I believe it's a limited edition because it has factory stickers on both sides saying "Limited Edition" right under the Bronco emblem.
We've looked through our EB book and I've searched this forum and found where you talked about the differences for the various years. You mentioned the sport package and that they changed from vaccuum to electric wipers. Ours still has the vaccuum wipers.
As I said, there doesn't appear to be any thing special or different about this truck. Thats why I was asking. Can't find any info on what might make it a LE??????
I think I'll tape off & paint around the sticker just for the "It's kinda cool" factor.
Thanks a bunch for your comments. We really appreciate it. We kinda figured ours was build late 68 or early 69 since it still had the vacuum wipers.
As for the LE stickers, they appear to be so original with them being so perfectly placed and age worn. I know they weren't added by the guy we picked this truck up from cause he didn't care enough to even put the doors back on - stored the up against the shed in the sand - talk about in need of major welding/help. Sad, very sad.
If they were original Bronco emblems, they would be die cast metal emblems like the 'Bronco Sport' script on the side of my '69. I don't recall seeing any Broncos from that era with stickers on the body, besides maybe the Stroppe Broncos, but that wasn't really a Ford factory thing (3rd party).
RCrawler was right. After cleaning off years of built up green stuff, I've found "4x4" stickers on a couple of fenders, not quite as perfectly placed, that are the same style of the LE stickers.
