Depends on what 302 you want to put n... If you are going with just an old fashion carbed 302, then all your wiring will work. Yo will probably need to bypass the resister wire from the ignition switch so you can get 12v to your coil and then you can run any ignition system you desire. Check out the "Performance-General Engine" forum, there is a thread in there near the top already about DUI and various ignitions. I just put a DuraSpark distributor and HEI module into my 65, only had to bybass the resistor wire and up the gap on the plugs. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=327065
If you are going with the duraspark II ignition, I think you need the resister wire to keep from burning up the module. I uses 12 volts to start but runs on about 9 volts.
The Duraspark ignition isn't a high performance ignition. It is the standard electronic ignition used of all ford v8 cars and trucks since 1976 or 77. First ones was the Duraspark I followed by the Duraspark II. Both required the resister wire. If you are going with the Chevy HEI, then the resister wire isn't needed.
