Sorry CS65, I can't do a Seattle to Virginia in even if you paid me. I can't imagine how much $$ in gas a trip that distance would take in a truck that needs engine work. Now Washington D.C. I may think about. Honestly I really wouldnt want to drive any old truck on an interstate highway. I would get murdered by the Kamakazi drivers of today. Our trucks werent made for that kind of driving. Funny thing is the how the Germans made the Beetle and have the no speed limit Autobahn. I own a beetle and they really werent designed for sustained high speed driving. Of course theres room for everyone on the German highway. People will politely pass you by if you are driving a slower vehicle. I drove the Autobahn for three years and its uncanny how you didnt have the rude, maniacle, its all about ME drivers like here in the States. Its plum scary driving through Atlanta, Ga at 5 pm. I would say you stand a good chance of getting injured if you broke down, or even had to poke along. Some guy operating a laptop while on his cell will sure as hell smash you into oblivion......
Anyway. I hope someone can rescue this one! It can't go to the crusher!

LMAO....true...VERY true...traffic in Seattle blows chunks....way bad...same as what you described in Atlanta scenario....but I love seeing an old car/truck vs new....totally hilarious, injuries aside...one car toast the other drive away with nay a scratch...lol....too bad the cars today arent as study as our beloved 61-6 rigs...heck, even to 79 was a stout truck....I will keep ya all posted on what happens....may bail it out...too big a hit for me to take....Thanks for the interest though...
I live in the Puyallup area. About 18 miles south of sea-tac airport. So far this year I have saved 2 64's from the crusher. I now have 3 64's at my truck "retirement" home. Please let know more about the truck and maybe I can save another one.
