86 F150 not starting when hot
I have a 86 F150 5.0. when the engine is hot and sits for 20 minutes or more the engine is hard to start. Less than 20 minutes the engine starts right up. After 20 minutes it usually takes 3 tries of the starter 5 sec. each.

Ok , Is the problem its hard to start because it cranks slower when hot , or does it crank normally when hot & slow to start ? Its possible the starter is suffering from the exhaust heat if the starter seems to drag ? Check all the electrical connections associated with the battery , starter .How old is the battery & how many CCA ?
