I need your help trying to locate a miss. My '88 F-250 460 started missing last night on the way home from work. Changed spark plugs and plug wires with no change. Sounds just like when you have a bad plug or wire. Seems to go away at higher rpms but not sure if it just gets masked by the higher engine speed. Any ideas????? EFI??? Cap & rotor???

You need to start with basics, do a compression test and see what you have. If thats ok do a fuel presure test. If these two items are OK then you may have a bad injector. Using an noid light you need to test all the injector conections to make sure each one is getting pulse. Let us know what you find from here

Well, hoping for the best instead of expecting the worst cost a lot of money this time, on the way home from work it started making loud expensive sounds, a compression test revealed probable valve problems, so not wanting to pull heads without a proper garage, on a tow truck off to my mechanic with lots of green stuff......
