ZF5 clutch question?
Hey all. I was wondering what to look for to tell if your clutch is going out? On my truck, it is hard shifting into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and it seems to be getting harder. Is that how these trucks are normally, or is that bad? I don't know when the tranny fluid was changed, so I am thinking of doing that this summer, and was also wondering what the best fluid to use would be? Thanks all.

could be the clutch itself but sounds like a hydraulic problem more than anything.
should have 11mm of slave travel.
check the pedal bushing under the dash thats a big culpit right there.
i run amsoil atf in my trans and i think it works the best. for trans fluid you have to make sure it is FULL SYNTHETIC
bad clutch alot of times will slip, hard pedal, chatter,
how many miles on clutch?
