New member question

I recently sold my Ford Lighning to purchase my 04 SD ext. cab. I could tell you anything there is to know about the Lightning as far as making power and tricks of the trade. I am new to the diesel world and need some feedback on what are some good mods for my truck. As with the Lightning club, there are so many things to choose from, some safe and some not so safe.

I will be using the truck for my construction company and I am looking for some safe additional power and better fuel milage. No racing, at least not yet.

Hi John,

Welcome to the forums. There is no doubt that you will get some great advice from the well versed diesel goo ruu's of the FTE club. I have an 04 myself and the first thing that I have done was a cat back exhaust by MBPR it has a nice sound lower exhaust temps and the turbo seems to spool a little faster. My next mod will probably an air raid intake system. I dont run a programmer but a lot of people do. There are many mods available for the PowerStroke so let your consious be your guide... and your wallet. Hang on the answers you need will come. Some good reading in the stickies at the top of the forum. Good Luck and enjoy the truck.
