how to fix these things...

I got these codes from my truck... but I dont really understand whats wrong...

52 Power steering pressure switch always open or closed. Do I need a hole new power steering pump? Wheres the switch?

44 Thermactor Air Injection system inoperative (Right side).

Intake manifold leak?

33 EGR valve opening not detected
I have an EGR hooked up... new gasket and everything... replace the EGR?

I had a code 44 on my truck. It took a little time to find, but was broke plastic vacuum lines, driver's side, going to the solinoids on the engine from the harness on the firewall. You might want to start with checking those darn plastic lines. At least they're color coded.

The power steering switch is on the high pressure line between the pump and the steering gear. Mine actually does not use this switch but the wire is there.

If you didn't turn the steering wheel after the single flash of the check engine light, the code will come up, even if the switch is good.

I did not turn the steering wheel after the flash... SO I guess that elmininates code 52..


Code 44 is a vacume leak? (says fords4me) SO I guess I will check my vacume
lines.

What about code 33 for the EGR valve opening not being detected.

I usually turn the steering wheel 1/2 to the left, then 1/2 to the right after the 4 Flashes.

33 Could be a bad EVP or a sticky, dirty EGR Valve.
