New Truck!!!

Hey boys, I got a new truck today. A 2005 5.4L FX4 Silver Ext. Cab F-150. It is actually used, which brought it to my attention at first. It has 13,000 miles and runs like a charm. I already have front and taillight blackouts on it, looks pretty mean. But I'll be sure to post some pictures soon. Hopefully the new forum was as fun as the 4.2L forum, as I'll be getting rid of my 2001 V6 here soon.

Congratulations, sounds like you've got the same truck as me. Hopefully yours will treat you as good as mine has done me.

Oh yea, I'm sure it will.

I had a question, do you guys know how we have the 3 valve 5.4L. Were the 5.4L engines that were put in the 97-03 f150s a 2 valve?

Yes all previous 5.4's were 2 valve to 2004. 2004 pickups except for heritage and 250-up still had 2 valve. Super duty got 3v for 2005, not sure about heritage

Yes, the 3v were only offered on 2004+ (Excluding Heritage). Everything previous was 2v.

I'm sure this is a simple question but I have no clue.

Tanks to anyone who knows.
