Rpm's?
About how many Rpm's would a 5.0L mated to a E40d have at 70mph?
With a
3.08 ratio:
3.55 ratio:
3.73 ratio:
4.10 ratio:
If I went from 3.55's to 4.10's, would I lose 2-3mpg's?
Pastmaster's 1993 XLT 5.0 E40d 3.55LS Normal Cab/Long bed Loaded from the factory with aid of...MSd 6a ign/s.p. wires, blaster coil, Hypertech Chip, K&N filtercharger, Cat-back dual exhuast w/o mufflers, 3.5", echo tips, Accel distributor cap, Dark Mocha over light mocha. 5% Dark tint, Alpine Cd player/remote, Pioneer speakers.
3.08 approx 1840 RPM @ 70 MPH
3.27 1950
3.55 2120
3.73 2230
4.11 2460
Can't help w/mileage, but when you're driving in traffic or hauling a load, any of them except maybe the 4.11s should beat the 3.08s. Unloaded on an open highway, the 3.08s should win, but so what?
