Exhaust:Form and Function

Getting duals put on in early summer but Im not very impressed with the look of the straight out look. To me it seems like they dont fit with the design of the back end of the truck. I want to get it out the side after the tires. What are your opinions fellas? Anyone with pictures of different applications? Keeping in mind form and function of course.

I was thinking the same thing. But I've pretty much decided to just replace the stock muffler and keep it single. Maybe put a tip on it....

This engine does fine with a single pipe. If you don't know where to run the pipe, just dump it in front of the rear axle. It sounds mean!

Well a single side exit will make more power than duals, its a fact. You could check out something like the Gibson Extreme Dual setup. It dumps behind both rear tires.

SoConSick, I thought the same thing when i got my truck. But i decided to do it ne way but instead of doing the slanted cut tips, i went with the 4" Rolled Magnaflow Tips which look alot better for the size of the truck. When i got it installed, my feellings tottaly changed. But if u go for something different i would definetly go for behind the tires. That would look nice, but u do have to keep in mind that ur tips will get dinged up from all the rocks that would hit them. (had that problem on my Jeep Rubicon) SO make sure u get stainless steel tips..... Hope this helps.
