Post Electric trailer brakes

I have no clue on how to wire the brake adjuster to the rest of the mess of wires under the fuse panel. Is there a schematic that I can look at somewhere???

My 03 came with the plug under the dash...just plugged it in and presto the trailer stopped....behind the truck

If I remember correctly the Ford plug is above the gas pedal and to the right of a dash support member

my 04 came with the pigtail in the glove box with directions. And the pigtail plugged into the circuit. Had to mount a controiler and figure out that wiring to go to pigtail. Took about 20 minutes to hook up when I got it figured out. This was mounting and all.

If you have the tow package with your truck... which I assume that you do the plug is a female connector way above the gas pedal on the right hand side of it. It is not the easiest connector to get to. The male end should have also come with the truck and it should have been in the glove box or in the center console. It is in the same spot on the 03's and 04's. If you did not get the male end I have one if you need it. But if your truck came with the tow package it should be there. Like I said it is not the easiest connector to get at or see for that matter. The easiset way to se it is remove the lower dash trim to access the fuse block then lay on your back and look up to underthe dash above the gas pedal and look for a light colored grey connector it will be tward the passenger side of the truck. Hope this helps

One more thing about the trailer plug, if you have a Prodigy or like product they make a plug and play harness for Fords. All you have to do is locate the plug under the dash and plug one end into the controller and the other into the plug under your dash. Saves a lot of wiring time. These can be found at most RV stores for about $9.00...
