Hey everyone, I recently got the upgrade bug...looks like a new Super Duty is in my near future. Looking to replace my 1983 F250 with a new F350 4x4 S/C or C/C v10 Auto LB. My father (Faithful Ford Owner) recommended this site, and I have found loads of info on this site already. I am looking forward to a reading more great posts.
And I'll add a great big howdy to you also. I'm sure you'll find plenty of information on any subject, Ford Truck related, you can think of. There's even a few forums that are just for fun. Check it out!
Thanks for the warm welcome! I need more time in my day, too much info to read...gotta love that!
Hey BigBlue...
Any good Ford dealers to visit down your way? I stopped in Ricart and Grahams last weekend, lots of SD's at Ricart's but no v10's, mostly diesels...not for me. Any recommendations?
Joe, I have an old classmate with your name. Thanks for writing back.I am sure you are okay, even if you are originally from PA.Anyway, welcome to the site. You can find alot of valuble information here and almost everyone is friendly.Keep us posted on the F350 purchase.I have a new F150 4x4 and kinda wish I would have gotten the F250 w/V10 and loaded to the gills. Thanks Again!Good Luck and Have Fun!
Sorry about the delay in getting back to ya, 4 kids and wife tend to eat up a lot of my time. I would stay FAR FAR AWAY from Ricart. I would also stay away from Jim Keim on the west side, they painted my truck last summer after it was vandalized and did a horrible job with the finish, had to take it to a professional detailer and $400 later my truck looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Luckily insurance covered everything. As far as Graham goes, that's where I bought my truck and am fairly happy with their service, etc. They also sell class 7 & 8 trucks and have a ton of SD's on their lot. I think they are probably the best dealer in Cols for trucks. They seem to be the "go to" guys for trucks. A buddy of mine at work deals with Coughlin Ford in Johnstown and he raves about them. Good luck and anything I can do, just ask, always happy to help. Just my two cents worth........
Joe, There is a sales guy (Jeff Clark @ Van Bortel Ford) that freguents this sight that might be able to help you get a good deal on that new SD.I plan to contact him before my next purchase.I have heard all good news about him.I think his screen name on this site is 1956MARKII.Good Luck!
No problem with delay here, I appreciate your feedback. I did enjoy the reps at Ricart, they seemed knowledgeable...but they did press me on the Diesel option instead of my requested V10. They had almost 80 trucks on the lot, a few v8's and rest Diesels, NO V10s so go figure. Concerning Graham, that is good news, I am currently talking/emailing a rep there by the name of Bobby Combs, any input on this rep? They didn't have the truck I wanted on the lot, but they are going to locate one, will see how that goes. I didn't make it to Jim Keim so nothing lost there. Coughlin, have to check them out...thanks again for your input. Much appreciated!
Ruckus,
Jeff Clark, huh, I have been seeing all the positive feedback on the New Ford Buyer forum. I guess I better send him a message, he isn't too far from me...looks like just over 5 hours...that would be a good break in drive home! What do ya think? Thank you for the heads up on Jeff!
Glad to hear things are working out for 'ya. Sorry no info on Bobby Combs, I dealt with a guy by the name of Chris Burns and I don't think he's there anymore. Good luck man!........
