Complete Brake System Upgrade

I have been working on my 88 f150 upgrade. I have swapped out the stock 8.8 rear and ifs 44 front for a dana 60 front and back setup. My question is:

Do I have to change out the brake booster, master cylinder, and other brake system parts to be able to work the larger brakes on these larger axles? Im thinking I can get the setup off of an f350 of the same year and make it work. Any thoughts? Also, there is a component that is mounted to the frame underneath the cab that all the brake lines seem to run into and then out to the axles, almost like a distribution box and it has a electronic connector coming out of it. What is this and do I need to get one from a bigger truck as well? Thanks in advance.

I would step up the power booster and master cylinder. I don't know much about the 80's stuff, but if it's anything like the 70's, the F350 stuff would be better.

That thing on your frame is the proportioning valve. It distibutes the braking force appropiately to the front and rear. Also since drum brakes require less line pressure, it only allows so much to the rear, while allowing the rear to be applied before the front.
If you switch to 4 wheel disc you will need a proportioning valve that is setup for that. Probably a dual diaphram power booster as well, which the F350's should have
