My truck has been starting somedays and and the next wont even turn over.The days it wont turn over my battery gauge in the dash shows about 10,I've got power to turn on headlights,radio,ect.It has now completely refused to turn over for about a week.
I am pretty sure it is the starter but would like some input.

 

yes it sound lot the starter .when my truck would do the same thing i would tap on the starter and have someone to turn the key but make shore you put the parking brake on....

 

It could be the battery, the starter or the battery cables themselves. Based on the year, I would suspect starter first, then battery, then the cables. You should be able to get both tested at your local parts store.
