Waverunners
The court ordered that Polaris stop production of PWC's for a period of two years which led to their pulling out of the market.
I have never owned a Poaris so I can't comment on their product.
I do own a 93 Yamaha Waverunner 3 that we treat like a dog and you can't kill it. Wal Mart oil, a few batteries, and spark plugs in 12 years. I also own a 97 Sea Doo SPX that has had the motor replaced and requires some wrenching but hauls butt and is alot of fun to ride.
P.S. Everybody on the lake hates jetskis unless they own one.

Being former navy/ coast guard, i wish every one boating regardless of the craft would just sit down and read the laws of operation. for the state they are in and take a long look at the coast guard rules of the road or in this case water.
In my mind it's a shame that many people get out on the water and goof off thinking they are having fun when down deep they are putting many other peoples lives in danger. the bad part is jet ski 's are causing major problems from the reckless operation/operators of the bad ones. to fast for the conditions, to close to shore, to close to another boat, to each other, to a dock, bwi or bui. the list goes on. it's very long.
As boaters we most all obay the laws posted. jet skis are water craft by the law. and most follow the same rules for boaters plus those for the jet ski's
i'm in NO way puting any one down because they operate a ski. i have just in my days had to look for more bodies of dead jet skiers then boaters. it's never easy on the searchers.or the families of those missing people .
last summer it took 3 days of hand over hand on the murky bottom of the lake in water temps of 40 degs at 50 feet to find 2 bodies so the family could rest.
a boating accident is not like a car where the metal bends around you. water consumes you. it kills. it makes it's own laws. follows it's own way.
please, please obay the laws of boat operation. boat or ski safely. take a safety course before even going out to buy a water craft of any kind so you understand how unsafe actions cause bigger problems.
A lot of people will buy just about anything that has the Honda name on it.

I can completely see why fishermen hate PWCs. I have personally witnessed a lot of PWC riders who have a completely disregard and lack of respect for other lake users.
Its really unfortunate. PWCs are a lot of fun. Its just a shame that a few bad individuals represent the sport is such a negative way.
