Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you have replaced their turn signal switch with the aftermarket one from broncograveyard.com. Here's my situation, I got the truck with no turn signal switch in the column, all the wiring is gone. So what I am left with is the other end of the plug that runs to the signals ( it looks like a quarter circle), but I don't have the switch itself or the switch end of the plug that plugs into the signal side (sorry if that is too confusing) Is my best bet going to be buying a signal switch from Bronco Graveyard, or should I just get a universal one that straps onto the column, and how do I go about getting the other end of the plug? Is the wiring going to be difficult or is it pretty simplistic? Thanks in advance
Jeff
I would get one from a donor at a pick "n" pull, that way you can get everything you need that you do not have. As far as the wiring and the connector go you will have to remove the wires from the plug to get it out and back in the column then re-install the wires in the connector (make notes at disassembly and be sure to put all wires back in the correct place when finished). -Ed
The replacement switch I bought from the parts house was a splice fit, not plug in.
I haven't installed it yet since mine is a '73 and I installed a '79 steering wheel which has a different signal canceling setup and wouldn't cancel them even if it were fixed.
