Pain in my A$$
Today i had my heads magnaflu (sp?) and luckly there were no cracks........but they are warped, one of the heads is .005 off and the other is .004, does anyone know how much it will cosh me to get them machined down or could i get away with them like they are?

Machining should be fairly cheap - in FL this would be $10-20 per head. If you are having your heads reworked anyway, this should be included in the service. I'm sure plenty of guys have gotten away with 4 or 5 thousandths, counting on crush in the gaskets and flex of the head under bolt pressure; but I would recommend having them surfaced. Your heads are already off, it's cheap; and what's wrong with doing it right the first time?
