core concerns
i have an 83 mustang gt and the heat works great but smells like hot coolant in the car. no leaks outside or in and it doesnt fog the windows but its got to be the core. has anyone else had this problem? they are terrible to change.

If it has only recently started to smell, it could be a small weep that isn't leaking enough to show up on the window or floor. Sometimes you can go a while before it becomes evident.
If it has always smelled, the core may have leaked in the past and when it was changed, the compartment wasn't cleaned up very well.
