Installing a navigation unit.....
hey guys, I need some help. I posted in the other forums, but to no avil!!!If any one has the answer,or anyinfo on wher I can get the info, I would be greately appreciated. I need to find the speed sensor wire. I am installing a navigation unit in my '04 and this wire is what helps the unit calculate distance and such. My local shops wont tell me they say I need to bring the truck in and have them install it....plus a few hundred $$!! My local parts dealer has no idea what im talking about...so if someone outhere has anything for me, any info, I would appreciate it...thanx again.....
By the way, Im posting this in the 6.0 forum because I know theres alot of guys here who know these trucks inside and out on here....Imhoping to get lucky!!!!

Don't know how helpful this info is, but we have to attach a wire to all our police cars speed sensor wire. So far, on all the Crown Vics and Expeditions, the wire can either be found directly in front of the firewall on the driver's side or the easier one is under the glove compartment. The cruise control module is located there. The wire for the crown vics and the expeditions is always a small grey wire with a balck stripe coming from the cruise module. This configuration has not changed on the cv's or ex's for a number of years so it's likely to be the same for the sd's. Hope this helps a little.
