Anyone have any information on this HEADER HUSH product that was shown on TRUCKS on the spike channel? It's some sort of take-a-part flange that surrounds the header collector to pipe flange. It's suppose to keep the gasket from blowing out and also to keep the flanges from warping. That program seems to lack any information on some of there products they showcase. Too bad.
One of the major problems with headers is the movement of the engine and chassis. The collector flange seems to take a lot of the movement. What they really need to make is a flex joint for the collectors. They may have them but I have never seen one. Clamping the joint up more would seem to make the problem worse. Mounting the collector to the transmission will also reduce a lot of the stress that causes headers to crack.
