Dana 60 Frontend

I have an 86 F-350 with a Dana 60 frontend, the tires are 39x18x16.5 and are starting to wear on the inside. I was told that the bearings need to be checked (possibly replaced), how hard is it to get to the bearings. What brand of bearing assemblies should I use, I've always used Timken on my past trucks, are these good or is there something better? Thanks to all that respond.

Stick with Timken. They are the industry leader. Bearings are easy to come by at any good parts store and they are not difficult to change. Just make sure you have access to a parts cleaner.
