Head CC's

Well, I need to find out how many CC's my heads are. I guess the best way is to get a syringe and a level surface? Also, the volume is for one combustion chamber, right?

Well you need a syringe, a piece of plexiglas or hard plastic that is large enough to cover one chamber on the head, and some vaseline or equivelant. First lay out the plexiglas and mark for a 1/4" hole at the top of the chamber as you have it just slightly tilted in one direction. Now drill the hole and make an 1/8" hole just a little ways away from the one you just drilled also at the top of the chamber. The 1/4" hole is the one you will squeeze the syringe through and the other hole is just to let air out. Now put a small amount of vaseline on the head at about where the headgasket would sit, not too much as you don't want it to take up room in the chamber. Press the plexiglas against it to seal so water wont run out. Now fill your syringe and your off. Make sure you tap the air bubbles out of the syringe before you level off your water mark. You only need one measurement to know where you will be cr wise, however if valve work has been done improperly you could have significant differences in the different chambers. Other wise it's only the racer boys who need to have them all perfect, and those of us who are just ****. Let me know what you get. When I did mine they were like 4cc's more than the highest factory spec. I thought my syringe was probably junk so I go a graduated cylinder, talk about ****, and it came out the same as the syringe.

With those heads you will need a syringe that holds at least probably 80 cc's
