vapor lock
I have a motorhome on an 81 Econoline 460. While it has only 57k miles, it has historically been plagued by vapor lock, particularly in hot weather, and seems to be getting worse. After only about 1/2 hour at highway speed the engine stumbles and falters as if running out of gas. Letting the engine cool down allows it to run again, only to repeat the vapor lock symptoms. Have replaced the fuel pump, even tried an auxillary electric fuel pump with no success. I'm open to any suggestions as to how to fix this! Thanks!
