Wiper Motor
The first time I attempted a replacement, many bad words were said when trying to remove the cowl with the hood still in place. Since then I've found it much easier to just make the hood removal my first step. Next is to remove the wiper arms from their shafts and then remove the antenna. Now you can begin removing the cowl by removing the 3 or 4 screw that are accessible from the top, and the 30 or 40 screws that are accessible from the engine compartment. Once all the screws have been removed, just pull the cowl towards the front of the truck and remove. Then remove the clip that holds the motor shaft to the wiper rods. NOW you can remove the 3 bolts that hold the motor, disconnect the wiring harness, and toss it. Do the reverse for reinstallation.
It may sound like a lot of work, but it's really quite simple. I've gotten it down to about 45 minutes to and hour from start to finish.
Oh yeah, one more thing, get a friend to help reinstall the hood. Trying to balance the hood and get everything to line up correctly is a pain.
