Torsion bar Help!!!

I want to change my torsion keys and i got to the point to pull the torsion bar forward and its not bugging. I hammered it for almost an hour and it wont even move. Is there a trick to get the torsion bar out or moved forward.

The torsion bars are usually very hard to move in the control arms. Instead of doing that just remove the crossmember bolts and beat the crossmember and keys back at the same time.
