muffler question and bumper
i was thinking of changing my stock muffler to flowmaster series. what series should i stay on? what will it do, better mpg, power or ??? i got around 17mpg on Hwy and in city around 14mpg.
my f150 are 2 wd and the front chrome bumper kind of rusty. will a 4wd front bumper fit on my f150? where can i get one cheap?

I put a 70 series on my '01 in '02. Virtually the same as stock. Very quiet. Too quiet if your looking for ANY extra sound at anything but WOT. As for power and fuel economy a little more power- worth the $150 installed- and a little better gas milage- less than a mile per gallon.
Interestingly I checked into getting a 50 series last year for a little more sound and perhaps better flow. The muffler shop told me there was no flow difference between 40, 50 & 70 series Flowmasters. I called Flowmaster and one of their tech's confirmed this.
