Just purchased a 99 power stroke. 216K miles very clean. Only problem is that it does not have proper power. If you kick it down,it goes better but still feels slugish. It is a automatic. Any ideas??? Seems to run smooth. Spins over a little long on start up i think. Could something be restricting ???? What about waste gate?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Gil

 

i would change every last fluid and all the filters i could find on it. i always do that on a used buy that way i know what i have. air, fuel, oil, tranny filters. and the oil in the tranny, engine, transfer case, rearends, radiator flush etc etc. if i still had the same problem i would acess the situation then. you might just have a bunch of dirty filters.
