I have an 05 F250 PSD w/6-speed manual and 14,500 miles. Since it was new, I have an occasional very slight grind going into 3rd gear. Back to the dealer twice and could not find the problem. Any ideas?

Does it happen only when cold?

Is it on the downshift (i.e. coming from 4th), or upshift (coming from 2nd)?

Do you have a manual transfercase ?
If so put the transfercase in neutral and shift throught the gears and listen for noise from the tranny after being warmed up.
When my 02 6sp zf was brand new.I had a slight noise going into 3rd also.

Tranny was pulled and the endplay was adjusted with Torque and new shims and 3rd gear synchro installed

And since this tranny uses ATF fluid the dealer(Ford) put Mobil 1 atf and a bottle of Fords friction modifier in.After the repair.

Just turned 60k and its due for fluid change again and their have been no problems.

I most often notice it when the truck has been running and warmed up. If you were refering to cold or warm weather, then it happens during both.

I notice the grind more often in upshifting, although I have experienced it in downshifting as well.

I have a eletronic transfer case (switch on the dash).

If that was the case - I would suggest taking it to the dealership, and getting what Rich suggested done
