Okay, this may be the dumb question of the day, but I got to thinking about it today.
On a dual battery set up, does it matter, which battery you jump from? In my own mind, I can't see where it would make a difference, but I wanted to see if any of you knew differently.
I think that Ford reccomends that you jump to the passenger side (closest to the starter). If you are starting someone else, I can't imagine how it would matter which one you use.
they are in parallel. pos. to pos. and neg. straight to ground. you are really jumping from or to both at once. if you are jumping to start your truck, jumping to the passanger side will put more juice to the starterand eliminate the wire that crosses by the radiator. so that is probably a good idea Phil
I didn't think it would matter. Without checking the wiring schematics I figured it would be a parralel circuit, but didn't know if there was a "suggested" battery to use.
I just saw somebody being jumped (actually their car) on my way home the other day and started thinking about it.
