Exhaust System
Can anyone tell me a website or brand of muffler or exhaust, where I can find a really good sounding exhaust system or muffler that is so good that it turns peoples heads when i step on the pedal.

If you want it loud(or don't mind it and you are not loaded often then You'll probably like this) cut the muffler off and straight pipe or have a muffler shop do it for you probably the first 10hp I got was by doing that.
O yeah It will turn peoples heads I loved pulling up by people (there window down) (with exhaust exiting behind the rear tire) lined with the exhaust and hiting it going down the highway It was a head turner!!!
Kinda sounded like a cross between a cackling witch and some bad spanking farts- I loved it my fuel milage was around 14mpg I just loved hearing it all the time. going offroad was a blast Of constant exhaust noise screaming through the woods and mud!

I built my own muffler, it isn't quite a straight through, but it is definitely high flow. It isn't excessively loud, but it isn't quiet either, it gets louder when I get on it, but has a real nice tone.

well if you want to spend money make sure its a straight thru design and banks and I believe borla sell some that you may like I got flowmaster 40 series on mine its just to quiet but I got true dual 3"

i put a 4 inch straight exhaust with no muffler and a Ats turbo on my 89 7.3. its quiet on the highway but when you lay her to the floor she really turns some heads it sounds pretty good.also put 355 rear gears in her.which really improved mileage has a 5 speed in her. get about 15 miles to gallon at 110kms or around 70 mile ahour.

nogo, why did you put on mufflers if it sounded so good.?
I loved my strate pipes the same way you said but the local Popo didnt like em so he took my license until I got it fixed.

Rig2, what type of sound is yours? Turbo spooling up and whining, or the typical deep, throaty exhaust noise? Im doing the same thing soon...
