symptoms; AOD '92 e-150
Hello, I am experiencing some symptoms on my van, i.e. the transmission is acting up. When the van is cold, and I go around the block, as I pull away from the first stop sign, the van seems to be in neutral. The engine races but the van does not move. I let off on the throttle and press again and it goes with a little "kick". Once, I had to accelerate quickly and the little "kick" was very harsh. ( I thought someone had run into me!) The fluid level is perfect but it's been about a year since I changed it out. The van has 289,000 miles on it and as far as I know, it has never been repaired/worked on. I bought the van in '96 with 97k. The last time I changed the fluid, I was surprised at the cleanliness of the pan, fluid was a little dark as it is now though. When the van is warmed up, these symptoms are not there, i.e. it runs great, shifts great. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, John
