Started primering all the scratches and stuff to keep the rust down and figured might as well cover the whole thing - looked silly polkadotted anyhow. I was suprised how good it looks like this - proud enough of it to change my Avatar!
Got a pic of my reworked dash too.
If I ever get my new garage built, I'll be able to do some real work to it!
If you mean the lower dash with the switches, I just polished it with a clear coat polish (I think, might have been chrome polish) to remove the silver paint that was already coming off. I saw a pic of someone elses truck done like that and thought it looked good.
The upper dash is one I bought from a CC and is not the original white painted steel one from my other pics.
Looks good Sam. Where did you get that speedometer though. Is that stock for the 63's?
I combined my stock 63 f100 gauge cluster and one from a bigger 62 It had hazard flasher switch and marker blink button, governor(?)on speedo and oil and alt gauges, so I'm guessing it was from a F600 or something.
Not sure which one the speedometer came out of, but they seem to be identical. The 62 had the OIL and ALT gauges. You can also find those in Broncos up to 77. The Tach I bought seperate on E-bay. It's a 61 I think.
