Question about Straight 6....
I have a Straight 6 300 engine I am taking apart for Auto shop and When I got the Engine Someone cut the pipe that goes to all 6 cyl i think its for fuel (its on the Head)Is the head junk if those are cut down to the flare nut things or right down to the head?

Question about Straight 6....
That pipe is part of the emission controls , air management system . Its designed to introduce fresh air into the exhaust at cold starts to help get the catalytic convertors up to the temperature where they are most effective . The pipe can be replaced if the engine is going back in a truck with the air management system & convertors .
