I hate to have to write this but, I no longer have my wonderful pick up.
After spending over $3000 this last month for a transmission, my transfer case &
rear dif went out. After looking at what this will cost, my wife & I thought it best to get rid my my baby.... I am now looking for the 6.0 PSD and try starting over.
I just got my truck the way I loved it, now I have to start over...
Please keep an eye looking for a nice 6.0 PSD, Thanks
Jeff
I agree....go see your local "parts recycler" he should be able to help you out. I wouldn't let my baby go by the wayside just because of some gears. Now, if your talking to a stealership.......then yes, they are going to try to bend you over. There are many more sources than that for parts.
Sounds like a perfect time for an Atlas II transfer case and a rear locker to me. There's no way those upgrades would set you back as much as a newer truck, not to mention the chances you are taking getting one of the many BAD 6.0s out there. My wife is an angel, but wives in general never seem to understand the relationship between a man and HIS truck. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, but if it were up to me I would look at this as an opportunity to do some SWEET upgrades to your drivetrain.
