Took a quick trip to Michigan last weekend to see our daughter and her husband. She is going to make me a grandpa in about 6 weeks and there was a baby shower that the DW wanted to attend. Took the diesel F250 and got between 17 and 18 mpg going up there and back. Got home late monday night, so the behind has been dragging for the last few days trying to catch up on sleep. I finally had enough time and energy to check back in.
Well tommorow I am headed to Cherryvale ks to pick up the next parts truck for da beast thanks to Mike. So the plan is to make room in the shop for my truck then start pulling axles, motor, trans, and t-case. Then swap in the 460/c-6 combo, then fab up a crossmember for the divorced 205, then get the d44 mounted under the front and the d60 in the rear along with all the springs and perches, then have the driveshafts re-tubed. And with any spare time I'm gonna start preping her for paint. The beast will never be the same hehe
Amen to that. Our other daughter and her husband were here tonight with their little boy( 16 months old) and we had lots of fun and then about 8:30 he started to get cranky and so it was off to home and night night. Sure are lots of fun! When the next one gets here I'll have to grandsons to indoctrinate into Ford trucks. Both of their dads like older vehicles so we'll have fun. Unfortunately, neither of them are into Ford trucks.
Well I`m stll working on my b2s` duraspark conversion. Still got a few little goodies to do, then it`ll likely be the brakes. I`m really getting the urge to camp...
Since it is so nice outside, I managed to walk around the house!!! That right!!!! I was able to get around the out side of the house. The terrain was a challenge but I made it!!!! Now I am back inside legs up and plugged in to my cool pump pack.
