PLUGGED CATY CONV.?
ANYONE HAVE THAT B4? ON MY 88 W302,, RUNS GOOD ON GAS TILL A CERTAIN POINT OF THE PEDDLE THEN NOT MUCH IMPROVEMENT-LIKE A GAS-AIR PROBLEM-- I KNOW IT COULD JUST BE TIRED, YET THIS AM AN EXHAUST LEAK OCCURED FROM NEW GASKETS,, WAS WONDERING ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE HAVEING EXPERIENCED THE CONVERTER BEING PLUGGED AND THE SYMPTOMS

Your problem could very well be a plugged catalytic converter. The syptoms are usually loss of engine power at high revolutions as the engine puts out more exhaust gases at higher revolutions. This in turn will choke the engine as gases can't pass quick enought thru the cc. Also if the trucks has alot of miles on it, this too would lead to a blocked catalytic converter. Cut off the old one and drive your truck around the block. If the cc is blocked you will notice a difference. Also you should be able to see inside the cc and see how it's doing.
