Sold my 88 5.0 last nite and miss it already. Thought I needed some more room and $, dosen`t seem that way now. It was a great car that was good on fuel and lots of enjoyment but last fall I bought back my 67 fastback so four Mustangs was abit much. Three some how seems more manageable, plus the old Ford trucks on the farm. Still.....
I just sold my Ranger.I bought it about 3-4 yrs ago with a knocking 2.0 for $800 which I replaced with a 2.3 and sold it today for $800 which I thought was OK since the body has gone downhill on it since I bought it.I still have an Explorer and a Bronco II as well as my 86 and 73 Mustangs,so I have no shortage of projects, but the kids seem to like driving in the Ranger the most.
Had a neighbour in our town come and look at the 67 mustang, and he says he's 99% positive that he will buy it. So as of next week maybe i will be feeling the same way!

Have to have more details on your Mustang. Where in Sask. are you and how much are you wanting for the Mustang(6 or V8)?
She's a coupe, 302 c-4 auto. It's been redone almost completely. It was originally a 289, but the guy before me swapped it out for a 302 from a 71 Maverick. It has headers, Edlebrock cam, intake, 600 holley, roller rockers, and mild porting - good for about 280-290 H.P. (guessing anyway). Shift kit and factory 2.80 8 inch rear end. She was fairly plain - no power steering or brakes. It has lots of new stuff like brakes, drums, lines, shocks, springs, dual exhaust, etc. Re-chromed bumpers, new badges & lettering, tail lights, rear quarters, door skins, rocker panels, front fenders, seats redone, carpeting and misc. trim pieces. It is painted arizona beige (kind of a copper brown color), and the interior is a light beige. I had it appraised last summer for $20,000.00 and if i get around $14,000 I'll be happy.
I live in Redvers SK. which is the southeast corner of the province. It is about 2.5 hrs from Regina and 5 hrs from Saskatoon.
Hi 77SilverStreak, sounds like a real nice Mustang. I sold my red 67 big block fastback in 2000 and bought it back last Sept. It is a very soild rust free car with only minor paint problems and a good body/interior/glass. I had rebuilt the 390 with a 428 crank, Comp camshaft , engine balance and rebuilt C6, PS &BDB. It has a deluxe interior with both floor & overhead consols. T-bird style door panels and exterior decore group (lites in the hood, pop open gas cap ect). All this plus a black interior. Super sweet!
Man that sounds like a real cool car!
About how much H.P. do you think it has? How wild is that cam - does she lump nice at idle? I put a 270H comp cam in my 77 F-150 with a 460(plus enough other mods to yield 425 H.P.) . It has roller rockers and it sounds pretty cool when it idles.
I'd like to see that mustang sometime.

the cam is pretty close to stock specs so the idle isn`t too lumpy. Other then a 1968 Shelby GT500 aluminium intake with a Holley 750 vacuum secondaries 4 bbl carb, Pertronix ignition/Platinum plugs it is a stock 410 with a .30 clean up bore. I have a 3,50 posi to install. Edelbrock aluminium heads with a set of headers are on my wish list. Some day????? Your truck sounds like it really rocks, would love to see it.
It has DOVE-C heads and they are mildly ported, mostly on the exhaust side. It has 10cc dish pistons, which would yield about 9.0:1 on regular smog heads (D8VE) and gives about 10.5:1 with the DOVE heads and thin gasket. If you used flat top pistons the compression would be at least 11.0:1. It needs premium fuel and colder plugs already, and on a tester it shows 195-200 psi during cranking. I'm glad I did not use flat tops. It could easily use a 280H cam, as this will be the next upgrade. The DOVE heads were from a 429 thunderjet. Your heads will spec the same as these heads. Roller rockers are a good investment with guide plates, but you need longer push rods for proper valve train geometry. Change the studs and the rockers bolt right on, and your valve train is adjustable just like a chevy !!
The intake is a weiand stealth, holley 750, hedman headers, 2.5 inch dual exhaust, msd distributor with 6AL box and blaster coil. The block is from a 78 grand marquis. Everything is balanced and port matched with lots of machining on the block itself. Behind it, a C-6 with shift kit and 2500 stall converter. The rear is a 3.70 posi. In the elevator in town, she weighs
4250 lbs. with both fuel tanks full. This heavy weight goes zero to sixty in
6 seconds (traction at its best) with a G-TECH meter, so imagine this combo in a light car! The only problem most of the time is trying to keep the tires from lighting on fire!
Have an 86 F150 4x4 short box to go through. It needs u joints, diff seals and some accessories! Or we could work on our 79 Redneck truck's body since it is pretty much rusted out. These should keep us out of trouble for awhile!!
