I-6 making progress
[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 06-Nov-00 AT 08:36 PM (EST)[/font][p]Well, after taking it to still more mechanics who say "its fine", I took an old ECT Sens and plugged it into the lead to the computer and let this ECT sit on top of one of the smog "thingy's".
I was hoping this would allow the sens to read a much lower engine temp and give me a ritcher fuel mix. If it ran better: I'm too lean, else I'm too rich. Well, it runs like a top now (!) and it also idles smooth as butter; like it did when I first bought the truck 1 year ago. I just need to find out "why" its too lean. I have thought maybe I have a leaky intake gasget, but I don't think it would cause this much trouble.
So, for all you I-6 guys, "we are close to a solution!"
