1989 E150 Ignition Control Module?

1989 E150 Ignition Control Module?

I have an Econoline E150 van that all of a sudden went nute. It is like I have no power and it stalls when pulling out. Idle is OK. It seems electrical to me. Does anyone know where the Ignition Control Module is located? I was going to take a guess and replace it. It blows black (wet) smoke out the exhaust. Problem exists with both fule tanks.

Did you put in some bad gas? I believe it on the distributor below it but you are getting spark, also change you fuel filter I think its fuel?

Well, it was fuel. My gas pressure was 120 PSI instead of 45 PSI. The fuel pressure regulator went bad. Too much fuel was getting in and fouling out the plugs. Thanks for the help, Mike
