help what componits are nessary to keep moter running?
i have a 1996 honda accord i want to use the motor in a go cart frame i have. the car is wrecked but it still runs and moves. the question were would i find out what wires and computer parts along with fule injection componits do i need to take to keep the moter running.
Take everything. If you are lucky and maybe Honda engineers helped you out, the engine harness may got out seperately from the rest of the bundle. I have neer been underneath a Honda hood to tell you for sure.
A Chilton's might have a more definite schematic than the Haynes (from my prior experience) to let you trace what must be kept.
I doubt the aftermarket has kept uup and brought out a carb for OBD2 Honda engines and seeing how those 4 cylinders revs, a carb would not keep up anyway--well, not without its cost, if that existed.
I would take the whole driveline and everything that went with it. Just send it to the wreckers as a body. It would be allot easier and cheaper to get rid of extra parts afterwards than to try to find parts later.
