Custom Sticker Maker?

Does anybody know of a place to get custom stickers for exterior use?

I am thinking of customizing a hood ornament on a 78 f-150 I am restoring. It currently says "Explorer" in the center of it. It is a Ranger model now so I was thinking of sanding down/painting the center of it (the outside is chrome) then getting some sort of custom made sticker to put inside there. Obviously would want to get something that would take the weather (Minnesota).

Thanks

Any sign or vehicle lettering company should be abl to help you out. They can design anything you want. The are computer cut so they are exact.

i used to work in a sign shop and we did that allllllllllllllll the time. just take your truck with you so they can get an idea of how big it is. Then work with them to get a design that you like. If i was you id do the prep work to the hood and just have them put the sticker on. But if your getting a big sticker made up then i wouldnt try putting it on yourself unless your expeirenced with that. Its a harder than it looks and gets extremely frustrating, one error and your screwed, you have to make the sticker alll over again.

You could also get a Ranger hood ornament that came factory on the late 60's/early 70's Rangers. They look very similar to your Explorer ornament. I know NPD has them.

You might want to call around to local area Kinko's. For awhile some of them had a sign and banner center where they made custom vinyl products - if you tell them it's for outdoor use, they can use a heavier vinyl and UV inks that will hold up better. Also, you can design the file in Illustrator and have them print it out direclty for you.

I was going to say Kinko's. You would be surprised at all the signs/banners/stickers they make. They can make these stickers in very high quality too. I do have to say though, support local shops first.

I would agree, always support someone small and local if you have the opportunity - STICK IT TO THE MAN!
