What are the options for extra fuel tanks, I prefer to do undertruck and don't want to loose my spare tire spot. My truck is a 99 supercab longbed. Used from the J-yard is good I wouldn't want to spend more that 200-300 for a new one.
What about some of the dual tanks from the pre 99s do they fit?
Also do I need to be concerned about what the tank is made of or any types of coatings or anything?
well I would like to do two tanks so I can run diesel in one and veggie oil in the other.
Nice coverup I am wanting to do the same thing, two seperate tanks. I was wondering if I could get another OEM tank or something similiar and mount it on the other side of the frame as the factory tank, and run the filler tube through the box.
Yeah, I got a spare 20 gallon tank for free, its 14/12/40 and it won't fit without alot of modification. I don't see anyway an extra oem tank would fit under there. Where do the excursions put the spare tire? It would be all to convient if they or the bronco tanks would still hold a spare under them. I use a cab over camper so would like to have the whole bed available. I guess I could put the spare on the trailer that I tow when I use the camper.
