2000 psd will stall at a dead stop and sometime just going down the road, the dealer agrees that it probably is the cam sensor but it will not leave a hard fault that the cpu can record. Will a bad sensor also make it run rough and reduce fuel economy. They will replace it under my warranty, I have 80000 miles but I Only have a month left on years.
I'd go ahead and get it replaced. But if you've got a $50 deductable......You might want to just buy it, and replace it yourself. The sensor is about $40.00 or less....depending where you get it from. Unless of course.....you don't want to mess with it....then just let them do it.

Reason: need to add info.
Make him give you the old one back and keep it for emergency use. Then learn how to change it, it's not to difficult. That old somewhat defective CPS will be worth its weight in gold if ya get let down out in the stix.
