96 or 97

I'm starting to look for a 97 F250 Power Stroke, is there any differents in the 97 and 96???

Different programs in the computer, but that's about it. The later programs (TDE0 & TDE1) have better power and transmission shift pattern programming. Everything else on the trucks is the same. Good hunting, I wouldn't trade my 97' for anything!

Its the box code for the computer, there is hundreds. each code is a lil different, in terms of the fuel mapping, shifting, glow plugs. '96's were rated 215HP and '97's were rated 225Hp so the '97 will be slightly more powerfull. TDE0 will prolly be the most common for the '97's. TDE1 is the newest version, basicaly the same, lil different GP logic in it.
