1981 white dash gauges?
Does any one know if there is a company that makes the white gauge faces? I think they forgot about us older truck owners. I am also looking for woodgrain dash inlays. Again I feel left out in that department as well.

they make a lot of consoles and dash trim kits.
But as you wrote, it is diff to find pieces for older models....esp Fords! I have given up on the magazines too, esp Truckin' which has been pro-Chevvie for years now..they even mentioned it in a editorial and a response to a reader about how Chevvies are more popular than Fords....they replied to someone who asked for Ranger parts...i saw a gal's truck..she made her own dash and door trim from REAL wood!.........she used balsa in places and stained it..looks great and is much cheaper.....Al

Welcome to the "your truck isn't popular anymore" club.
I have run into this too! They make the white face guage kits for the 92 & up models, but nothing for anything "older" than that. No one carries Woodgrain kits either. I was stuck hunting the wrecking yards. Sorry, I don't have any better information for you. Maybe if we flood the customizing companies e-mail with requests for their products to be made for our trucks we might get something accomplished.
Hmmm, now if we could just find enough people to start asking the right people.....

I have noticed too that Hot Rod, Car Craft, and Truckin' are all pro-chebbie mags. I would love to find some dress up parts for my interior but also amhaving a hard time. My 86 has a "Woodgrain look" dash panel but thats about as far as it goes. I have thought about getting some oak laminate and cutting some inlays for this but haven't had the time. Let me know what you find.

Personally, I have had thoughts of Diamond Plate aluminum accent trim inside my truck. I already have the plans to make new sill plates to replace the cheesy black plastic things.
Now the dash, that will be interesting. As I have not quite gotten that planned out yet. But I have this annoying habit of dreaming these things up in my sleep. I did that not too long ago, and came up with an Idea for a Diamond Plate bed cover. I'm still in the planning stages on that one though.
