Smile Newer model Steering wheel

Does anyone know if I can put a 60's Steering wheel on my 57 f-100? I just like the design of the wheel better, and I can get one cheap.

Bum,

I checked into this some time back and if I remember correctly (which is a big "if" these days because my memory isn't what it used to be) the F-series steering wheels will interchange from 40-48, 49-57, 58-60, and 61-64. So my guess is that the newer steering wheel will not work on your older column. It seems to be much easier to go with an aftermarket wheel than trying to retrofit a newer OEM wheel to an older column. If you wanted it really badly you could consider using the later column...

another "IF" I remember, you can use a later wheel but the horn won't work, they changed the design, I've seen 60 type wheels with both designs, do you think if I shoot WD40 in my ear it would loose up the sticky parts of my brain?

Hiball,

Nope, already tried it and it's a mess to clean out!

I tried it and the WD-40 just came out the other ear and ran down the wall. LOL
