flywheel question
would the flywheel out of a 302 truck work in the 351w that I'm putting into my truck?
it seems that it should work, and I've heard that they will work, I just thought that I would check.

depends on the year model of the 302 and the trans it is going in. Both motors are externally balanced and the flywheel has to match the balance factor for the engine. 351 engines uses a 28 ounce balance flywheel and 302 before 1981 also uses the 28 ounce flywheel. Starting in 81 the 302 went to a 50 ounce balance. If the truck has an auto trans then flywheels other than an AOD uses 154 tooth flywheels and AOD uses a 164 flywheel so it whould matter which trans the flywheels were attached to.
